Visual Identity Design
YILMAZ ZENGER COLLECTION
YILMAZ ZENGER COLLECTION
Architect, sculptor, furniture maker, painter, and filmmaker: Yilmaz Zenger led a multifaceted life that no single definition could encompass. For this exhibition, curated by Pelin Dervis, the visual identity and exhibition design were developed around a collection of 286 works.
Ground floorWorks spanning Zenger's entire production period can be seen in the entrance halls of Göztepe Memorial Hospital, as well as in semi-open and enclosed spaces. The sculptures produced by Zenger, inspired by the Möbius strip, became the defining element of the identity design: a form with no clear inside or outside, no beginning or end, in an endless loop, distilled into an amorphous logo.

For the typeface, Zenger's playful personality and his mastery of industrial production were taken as a starting point. Mechanical yet not rigid, functional yet distinctly its own.
